Everyone in the trucking community, has worked hard to provide service through the COVID-19 crisis, especially commercial truck drivers, both local and highway, who struggle daily to find open washrooms and food. The Port Transportation Association wanted to thank these hard-working drivers and show our appreciate, so on May 1 the PTA provided drivers with meals and beverages at the Nordel Scale.
For four hours our members donned safety vests, gloves and masks and volunteered by handing out hot appetizers and sweets cooked on site by Rangoli Catering & Sweets, as well has handed out hot tea, water and Tim Hortons coffee to drivers as they rolled though the scale.
We want to thank all of our volunteers, Nordel scale and all the of CVSE members working that day, and Rangoli Catering & Sweets! We would also like to thank Tim Hortons for providing coffee, and the following corporate sponsors who contributed to the event: H Rattan Trucking Ltd, Unique Trucking Ltd, Future Trucking Ltd, Ameri-Can Logistics, Superstar Trucking, Safeway Trucking Ltd, Goodrich Transport and Gur-Ish Trucking.
